INAUGURATION OF TH MILK FACTORY IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
15/06/2025

On May 11, 2025, in Borovsk District, Kaluga Province (Russia), Vietnam’s TH Group held the Grand Opening Ceremony of its Fresh Milk Processing Factory. The event took place on the same day as the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum in Moscow – part of the official visit to the Russian Federation by General Secretary To Lam at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. The inauguration in Kaluga was broadcast live to the Forum, symbolizing the strong cooperation between the two nations.

Located in the Kaluga Special Economic Zone, about 100 km from Moscow, the factory spans nearly 15 hectares. It is one of the most modern dairy processing plants in Russia, equipped with fully automated production lines from Germany, Sweden, Norway, Japan, China, and others.

Raw materials are sourced from TH’s high-tech dairy farms in Kaluga and Moscow, with imported cows from the U.S. producing an average of 40-41 liters per day – some even reaching 90-104 liters. The milk quality is exceptional, with 4% fat and 3.2% protein – previously supplied to major brands like Danone and PepsiCo at premium prices before the factory went into operation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Thai Huong – Labor Hero, Founder, and Chairwoman of TH Group’s Strategic Council – shared that the project began in 2016, amid Western sanctions on Russia, followed by a global pandemic and geopolitical tensions. Despite many challenges, TH remained committed to completing the factory. This marks not only a milestone in sustainable agriculture but also signals a new trend in international investment cooperation between Vietnam and the world.

“With a clear development strategy, our group has overcome all difficulties to make the dream of bringing Vietnamese milk to the world come true,” Ms. Thai Huong said.

Nguyen Le is honored and proud to have been entrusted to accompany TH Group in major events in Vietnam – and especially this milestone event on the international stage.
