On the evening of August 28, 2026, at Ho Guom Opera House, the solemn ceremony commemorating the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2026) was held under the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam and his Spouse, with the attendance of senior and former leaders of the Party and the State, international guests, and distinguished delegates.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey since the historic Autumn of 1945, which marked the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and to look back on the country’s continued path of nation-building, development, and international integration to this day.
