On the evening of July 8, 2026, the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States (1776 – 2026) was solemnly commemorated in Hanoi, with the participation of senior Vietnamese leaders, representatives of ministries, government agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, the business community, and distinguished guests.

The event not only marked the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States but also reaffirmed the positive progress of the Vietnam – U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Both countries reiterated their commitment to strengthening cooperation across a wide range of areas, including the economy, trade, science and technology, innovation, education, defense, security, and sustainable development.
