On the morning of June 8 in Hanoi, the International Workshop “Nutritional products formulated from fresh milk – Golden nutrition for the golden age, helping children develop comprehensively” organized by TH Group, with the participation of more than 300 delegates and experts, representing prestigious national and international nutrition research organizations and agencies.
At the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Song Tu, National Institute of Nutrition, said that according to the results of the National Nutrition Census 2019-2020 deployed by the National Institute of Nutrition, it showed that although the height of young people Vietnam has increased – currently the average height of men is 168.1 cm, for women is 156.2 cm – but it is still lower than many countries in the region and lower than the standards of the World Health Organization WHO.
Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Clair – Yves Boquien, Center for Human Nutrition Research (France) said that according to WHO’s recommendations, at about 6 months of age, children’s energy and nutrient needs need to be increased. Newborns begin to exceed the capacity provided by breast milk, and complementary foods are needed to meet those needs. Therefore, WHO has issued guidelines for reasonable supplementation, including the use of fortified foods with micronutrients or vitamin-mineral supplements when necessary.
Dr Alwine Kardinaal, Head of the Nutrition and Health Research Department of the Nizo Center for Food and Health Research (Netherlands), said that there are many infant formula products for children of different ages. . However, nutritional products derived from fresh milk with ingredients closer to breast milk have received special attention in recent years.
At the seminar, TH Group introduced a new breakthrough solution, a formula nutritional product from fresh milk, bringing a golden source of nutrition for children to develop comprehensively – TH true FORMULA. According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lam, this is the first fresh milk product applied according to the national technical regulations on nutritional products for babies, the first in Vietnam.
